We finally did it!

It's been a very busy weekend!

Wednesday was the day! We were finally able to close on the house and officially call it ours. Therefore, we had to get straight to work. We painted the basement walls and floor so it wouldn't be so dark and dreary down there. It looks 100% better.

Thursday and Friday were spent cleaning. Cleaning windows, baseboards, floors, cabinets, bathrooms, you name it. We were also able to move some car loads of stuff Friday afternoon which helped a lot.

Saturday was moving day, so of course it decided to rain. We were all soaked, and and some stuff got wet, but that's okay. The only major disaster was that my couch wasn't covered, and got all muddy from the Uhaul. We ordered a new couch about a month ago though, so we won't have to live with a gross couch for long!

The rest of the weekend has flown by. It consisted of more cleaning (from the mud brought in the house cause of the rain), lots of unpacking, and spending Easter with my family. I'm extremely tired and would love to sleep in, but it's back to the daily grind of work and responsibilities. After all, I have a mortgage to pay now!

There are so many people Bill and I want to thank for helping us with the move, cleaning, packing. I hope to be sending thank you notes soon.
