Labor Free Weekend!

It was a great three day weekend filled with zero labor.
Friday:
Bill and I had a great date night! Bonfire in the back yard with Brooklyn, and then drinks at Moe & Johnny's. I just love him so much!

Picture taken at my Gram's 75th b-day party last year!

Saturday:

I had coffee in the morning with Bill, watched a movie in the afternoon, and went to a fun slumber party in the evening with my some of my favorite girls.

Cari, Fern, me, Ashley and Natalie at my sis' wedding.

Natalie was home from New York City and Cari was home from Chicago.

Lots of laughing and catching up was done!

Sunday:

After the slumber party, I met Bill back at home and we went to an open house. We pretend sometimes that we can afford such things...someday!

Scot and Stef came over for dinner and then we all went to visit our friends' Jim and Erica's new baby Annabelle. Too cute. I'll try and post a pic soon!

Of course we had to have ice cream later.

Monday:

Brooklyn and I slept in! It was great.

We then went to a BBQ at Bill's Moms. It was pretty yummy! Especially the lovely cake we picked up at the Fresh Market! Mmmm.

***************************

It's the small things in life that I want to make sure I cherish. Weekends spent with those I love truely are the best.

I take forgranted all that I have, and all that I am blessed with. I'm hoping to realize all the true happiness that comes in the small details of my life.

After all, when I was little my mom used to always tell me: "Great things come in small packages." (Granted, she told me this because I was a foot shorter than everyone else, but in definitely comes in play now.)

Tell me, what small thing did you find joy in today?
