A lovely weekend

I don't know about you guys, but my weekend flew by. Probably because it was jam packed with good times. One of my roommates from college came into town to visit, and boy did we have some fun.

Friday night, we went to a local biergarten for some tasty beers, live music and dancing. My sister and one of her friends came along for the ride.

Saturday was spent at a family BBQ, where Brooklyn got her first taste of being a swimmer. Overall, she did pretty well. I also got to see my precious Katebug (I'm an auntie). I can't believe she will turn one on August 25th. That just doesn't seem possible. She was up and walking around like a little person.

Saturday evening was supposed to be a relaxing evening at home around a campfire, but it turned into a party of sorts. Allison was still in town, and about 15 people showed up so we started playing a few drinking games. Too bad it started to rain, so the party had to move indoors.

Before the rain though, Brooklyn's friend Maple came over to play. They are best friends!

Look at these huge ears!! I think she is actually taking flight here!All this playing makes for one tired pup. But a tired puppy, is a good puppy! She was a hit at the party, but couldn't resist falling asleep while everyone was still there.

Sunday consisted of a little more family time, saying goodbye to Allison, and relaxing at home (oh and some ice cream! mmmm!). I still need to catch up on some sleep, but I'm looking forward to next weekend which should be pretty quiet and relaxing.
